FAQs
Q: When do you train?
A: Currently we have 2 training sessions. These are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm going from the Anstey Jubilee Hall. There are usually running groups going out on Saturday mornings from the same location. Q: How often is the C25K group and when does the C25K group train? A: We usually run our C25K group once a year. The sessions are on a Tuesday and meet at 6.00pm outside the Anstey Jubilee Hall. See our C25K Groups page for dates of when our courses run. Q: How fast do I have to be? A: SPEED DOESN’T MATTER! There really is no emphasis on speed at Team Anstey. We welcome amblers (those who want to walk), beginners who are just starting their running journey to those who have been running for years. Our ethos is as long as you turn up you will be going faster with us than you will on the sofa. Q: How far do you run on training nights? A: We tend to run out and backs. This basically means the Run Leader will set a time for how long you run out for. Everyone runs in the same route for the same length of time. Once you hit the time set you turnaround and run the same route back. So regardless of the speed everyone runs at, we should all end back at the same time. Q: I’ve never been before. Can I just turn up on one of the training nights? A: Yes. We recommend proper running wear including running shoes and a high visibility vest. Other than that just come along! Q: Will I need to pay? A: You can have a months trial before looking to make a decision to join. If you’d like to join please view our Membership page. Q: Where do I get one of those running vests or awesome hoodies? A: See our Online Store page and we will be happy to order one for you Q: My kids really love Team Anstey. Can I get a hoodie or training tee for them? A: Yes you can! Please view our Online Store page for the sizes and kit available. Q: What is this LRRL I keep hearing about? A: That’s the Leicestershire Road Running League, a series of road races that take place across the summer and winter, usually closed to club members only. Q: I have an issue I want to discuss. How can I do this? A: The club Welfare Officers can be contacted via Facebook or via the Contact Us page with any concerns or issues you have and we will look to answer them as quickly as possible. Q: How do I find out about something not covered here? A: You can ask one of the Run Leaders or any of the committee members on a training night. Or feel free to send us an email using the Contact Us page on this website and we'll respond to it as soon as we can. |
